Financial Peace University

FPU shows people how to apply time-proven, common-sense principles to eliminate debt and build wealth. Each informative, two-hour session addresses a different area of personal finance and includes a small-group discussion where members share their progress and hold each other accountable.

Have you ever looked at your bank account and thought to yourself, “I make too much money to be this broke” or “where is it all going”?

Well, Financial Peace University (FPU) is a 9-session program where you get together with other YLC members to learn a step by step process on how to manage your money so that you never have those thoughts again. We teach easy to use skills on how to budget and how to get out of debt and its all done through a video lesson and then group discussions. We talk about investing and the right way to buy a home. We even deal with relationships and how money plays a roll in them.

There is always great food, beer, and wine each class and we always end up making great friendships having a really good time. So, if you interested in building wealth and getting out of debt then email the Financial Peace University Project Leader John-Michael Johnson at fpu@ylcnola.org.
