Alyson M. Mount, CPA

Chief Accounting Officer, Entergy Corporation

Annually since 1986, YLC has selected a class of outstanding New Orleanians who serve as Role Models by actively contributing to the betterment of the Greater New Orleans region. These individuals are an inspiration to YLC’s young professional members and to the community at large.

Alyson M. Mount, CPA is the Chief Accounting Officer for Entergy Corporation and is one of the youngest professionals to serve in that capacity in the company’s history.

Alyson is a curious learner and compassionate leader who continually encourages those around her to value the importance of strong teams with creative problem-solving skills. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair for the Edison Electric Institute Executive Accounting Committee, the national association of investor-owned utilities.

Alyson was born, raised, and educated in New Orleans. She received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Loyola University. Alyson followed in her father’s footsteps and became licensed as a certified public accountant shortly after graduating.

Alyson began her professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she served the energy industry for ten years. Alyson joined Entergy in 2002, where she would eventually serve in a variety of different accounting roles before being promoted to her current position of Chief Accounting Officer in 2012.

Outside of work, Alyson strives to bring her practical and business-minded approach to help non-profit organizations improve the New Orleans community. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans and Loyola University’s Visiting Business Committee.
