While Else Pedersen first entered the doors of Bridge House/Grace House as a patient, she now stands proudly as the company’s CEO. She is responsible for the development and implementation of clinical programs and all aspects of management. She also ensures clinical program and business objectives are met while directing and supervising staff.
Her background as a person in recovery and a licensed addictions counselor, uniquely positions her to meet the needs of Bridge House’s clients with dignity and care. Her background fuels her passion to serve the organization for years to come. Before coming to Bridge House, Pedersen owned and operated a local retail boutique and worked in Macy’s sales department.
Pedersen is also active in the community, lending her professional skills to support health and human services organizations. She is a founding member and former chair of the Greater New Orleans Drug Demand Reduction Coalition and a member of the New Orleans Health Department’s Behavioral Health Council. Her previous affiliations include the Metropolitan Human Services District and Behavioral Health Alliance of Community and Faith Based Organizations Executive Committee.
