Todd P. Murphy

President, Jefferson Chamber of Commerce

Annually since 1986, YLC has selected a class of outstanding New Orleanians who serve as Role Models by actively contributing to the betterment of the Greater New Orleans region. These individuals are an inspiration to YLC’s young professional members and to the community at large.

Todd Murphy is President of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and Ex-Officio Administrator of the organization’s Charitable Foundation and Political Action Committee (PAC). For five years,Todd has served as the Chamber’s driver of advocacy, membership, development, and marketing, while representing businesses from the largest parish in the region.

Under his leadership, the Chamber has taken several notable public policy and legislative positions, experienced a 20% growth in membership and high investor revenue, and received a four-star Accreditation from the US Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, the Jefferson Chamber was honored as Most Outstanding Chamber in the State of Louisiana in 2013 and 2015 by the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

In 2014, Todd received the Champion of Economic Development Award from the Jefferson Economic Development Commission (JEDCO). A recent member of the Board of Directors of GNO, Inc, Todd currently serves on the Board of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), representing the State Chamber Executives as its President. Todd holds a bachelor degree from Louisiana State University and is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He is an alumnus of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) and is a Fellow of the Loyola University Institute of Politics (IOP).
