Wesley J. Palmisano is the President of the Palmisano Group. After taking over his family’s business, Wesley set a bold mission for the company: to build a better world. In only three years, Wesley transformed the 63-year-old business into a major commercial and civil construction firm in the New Orleans region. Since 2013, Palmisano Group has hired 100 new employees, earns more than $100 million in revenues annually, and has completed more than 60 projects containing approximately 3 million square feet.
Palmisano Group’s accolades include CitiBusiness’ Fastest Growing Company in the GNO Region (2017), Best Places to Work, and Best General Contractor. Personally, Wesley was honored to have been named EY Entrepreneur of the Year, JA Rising Star, and as part of Gambit Weekly’s 2016 “40 Under 40” class. He stays engaged in the community by serving on the board of Junior Achievement and as an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization, Urban Land Institute, Greater New Orleans Inc, and ForeKids Foundation.
Wesley has instilled the company with the values of giving back to the community and leaving it better than it was before. In 2011, while serving Young Leadership Council, he helped re-establish the RECreate community service project, for which he received an award for outstanding leadership. More recently, Palmisano Group donated construction of a playground for the New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter, in addition to an outdoor classroom for PlayBuild, an educational non-profit in Central City that teaches children about architecture and construction.
Wesley and his wife Annie have two children, Wrex and Reed. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, exercising, hunting, and fishing.
