COVID-19 – YLC Gathering and Programming Guidelines
As our communities continue to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, YLC is diligently monitoring the situation. Here are our guidelines on gatherings and programming for the foreseeable future.
(Updated March 10, 2021)
Approved Volunteer Activities:
- Virtual interactions are highly encouraged
- In-person outdoor volunteer activities should have no more than 25 people gathered
- In-person indoor volunteer activities should have no more than 15 people gathered
- Do not designate Happy Hours as YLC in-person volunteer events
- If a volunteer event requires a volunteer to be in a room with more than 15 people, the minimum number of volunteers needed to complete a task should be utilized. In this scenario, an event must be approved by the YLC Executive Director (either directly or via VP of Projects) before the event occurs.
- Participants in volunteer gatherings must maintain six feet of distance between others and must wear masks at all times
- Hand-sanitizer must be provided to volunteers
- Ensure that all volunteer participants are registered in Neon and that the event includes YLC’s standard waiver (please ask Ashley Robison for more information if you are unsure about how to do this)
- Please continue to provide members/volunteers with opportunities that don’t require in-person contact in order to include those who are not comfortable/able to attend
Approved Meetings:
- Virtual interactions are highly encouraged
- In-person meetings are allowed but should have no more than 15 people gathered (both indoor and outdoor)
- Participants in meetings must maintain six feet of distance between others and must wear masks at all times
- With distancing requirements, the YLC Board Room can only accommodate 5 people
- Hybrid meeting options MUST be offered and accommodated for those who do not wish to meet in-person
- YLC has a projector and laptop hook-up for use at the YLC building only
- Meetings should not include any food or drinks
In-Person Guidelines: If a volunteer cannot respond negatively to the following questions, they should not attend any in-person event:
- Did I have a fever within the last 48 hours?
- Am I experiencing shortness of breath?
- Do I have a cough?
- Have I been experiencing chills?
- Do I have unexplained muscle pain?
- Do I have a sore throat?
- Have I lost my sense of smell?
- Have I experienced nausea, vomiting or diarrhea?
- Are you awaiting the results of the COVID-19 test?
- Have I come into contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19?
- Have I come into contact with anyone that is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (as outlined above)?
YLC Building/Office Accessibility:
- If you need to obtain your project supplies from the YLC office, you will need to make an appointment with staff before doing so
- If you need to schedule use of the building for a meeting, you will need to confirm the availability and in-person maximum attendance with staff
