Guy Williams was one of the co-founders of Gulf Coast Bank & Trust in 1990. He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer for the past 25 years. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Williams received a bachelor’s degree from Emory and a master’s degree from Georgia State University.
His educational involvement includes serving as a member of the visiting committee at Loyola University, serving as a Foundation Board member at Nunez community College, a substitute teacher at St. Martin’s Episcopal High School and as a former adjunct professor at Tulane University.
When not leading his own institution, Mr. Williams has provided leadership in the banking industry as well, serving as president of the Louisiana Bankers Association and on the Board of Directors of the American Banking Association. He has also brought his time and talents to the boards of Habitat for Humanity, the Louisiana Housing Corporation, the Finance Authority of New Orleans, and Pilots for Patients, Crossroads Louisiana, Community Sailing of New Orleans, and Baptist Health Ministries.
He is also actively involved in his church serving as a Deacon and a Bible Study Leader. In his free time, Williams enjoys spending time with his wife, Dale, and two adult children, Gregory Williams and Bonnie Williams Annasetti.
