LDS Project Pitches Conclude 2017 Curriculum

NEW ORLEANS: Tuesday, November 29: This past Tuesday, our incredible 2017 LDS class pitched their final recommendations to the Project Leaders of their partnered YLC projects: YLC Recycles, One Book One New Orleans, Power Ties, and InspireSTEM. Our goal with this year’s LDS class was to give each participant “behind the curtain” visibility into existing projects, allowing them to see what it actually takes to run & manage a YLC project or non-profit organization.

Each Project Leader was thrilled by the professionalism and work put into the presentations and will take the provided deliverables to help their projects to continue to grow and thrive. We wish to sincerely thank the 2017 LDS Class for their fantastic work, and to all of the YLC Project Leaders that went above and beyond to help make this year such a success. Finally, we thank the Contemporary Arts Center for donating their gorgeous facility to this occasion.

About Leadership Development Series

Since 2003, YLC has hosted a Leadership Development Series (LDS) as a professional service to its members. While YLC has developed leadership in our members since 1986 through hands on volunteerism, LDS is the organizations primary class that teaches members the basics of running a non-profit organization or a YLC project. Class participants are chosen through a selected application process each Summer.
