Jody Braunig

Girls on the Run New Orleans

Annually since 1986, YLC has selected a class of outstanding New Orleanians who serve as Role Models by actively contributing to the betterment of the Greater New Orleans region. These individuals are an inspiration to YLC’s young professional members and to the community at large.

Since 2013, Jody Braunig has served as the Executive Director for Girls on the Run New Orleans, a transformational organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential. Through her leadership, Jody has been a catalyst for tremendous change and growth, reaching over 800 young women and providing programming at over 40 locations. She is honored to inspire New Orleans youth, her peers, and the community to be joyful, healthy and confident

Before joining Girls on the Run, Jody held multiple roles focused on transforming the Jewish community in a post-Katrina New Orleans, having an incredible impact with the New Orleans Jewish Community Center, New Orleans Hillel, Birthright Israel Foundation, and the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans. Outside of her professional life, Jody is a charter member of the Mystic Krewe of Nyx and serves on the board of directors for the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans, the National Council of Jewish Women, and the Bricolage Academy Parents Association. When Jody is not busy volunteering or crafting or spending time with loved ones, she enjoys cheering her boys on at Carrollton soccer and baseball games.
