Kay Kerrigan

Board President, YAYA, Inc.

Annually since 1986, YLC has selected a class of outstanding New Orleanians who serve as Role Models by actively contributing to the betterment of the Greater New Orleans region. These individuals are an inspiration to YLC’s young professional members and to the community at large.

Kay Kerrigan is the Board President of YAYA, Inc., whose mission is to empower creative young people to become successful adults. Kay has dedicated her life’s expertise to improving the lives of New Orleanians through extensive community involvement.

Kay brought Carlisle Collection, a New York-based women’s clothing line, to New Orleans in 1983 and built the brand through direct sales. For 10 years, Kay recruited, trained, and managed Carlisle representatives in Louisiana. While serving on the Editing Board of Carlisle Collection, Kay launched the management company Entre Nous as co-owner.

Since then, Kay has put her business acumen to work by serving organizations and community groups that positively impact New Orleans’ citizens. She has also been a strong spokeswoman for issues that impact children, youth, and their families. Kay currently serves on the Executive Committee and is a founding member of Citizens for 1 Greater New Orleans. She has served on the boards of New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School, Crime Stoppers New Orleans, the Audubon Park Commission, Audubon Institute, and was a 2009 member of the FBI Citizens Academy. As the current Board President of YAYA, Inc., Kay was instrumental in raising $1.5 million in funds for YAYA’s new Art Center and continues to ensure that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in New Orleans’ youth for generations to come.
