Yvette M. Jones is the President and Owner of The Jones Group of New Orleans, a consulting firm that provides a range of philanthropic and strategic consulting services to nonprofit organizations. Her work focuses on strategic planning, board governance, talent building, and campaign planning and management for organizations involved in health care, education, economic development, and the arts.
Prior to founding The Jones Group, Yvette served Tulane University in a variety of vital roles spanning 36 years, including Executive Vice President for University Relations and Development, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President for External Affairs, Senior Vice President for Planning and Administration, and Vice President for Finance and Operations, among many other roles. She directed Tulane’s Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts in 2005 and was the architect of two of the largest fundraising campaigns in the university’s history, raising an incredible $1.6 billion during her tenure.
Yvette’s dedication extends to the New Orleans community, which she has served loyally for many years. She currently serves on the boards of Mignon Faget Ltd., Inc., Metairie Park Country Day School, Bricolage Academy, Friends of New Orleans, and Kingsley House. She serves as Board Chair of the Dean’s Council at the A.B. Freeman School of Business and is co-chair of the Campaign Committee for the Cowen Institute for Public Education Initiatives at Tulane University.
