Young Leadership Council Announces 2019 Board of Directors
NEW ORLEANS, LA – Young Leadership Council (YLC) is proud to announce the 25 individuals who will serve on its 2019 Board of Directors. The formal vote to approve the proposed slate of 2019 Board Candidates took place at YLC’s Annual Meeting & Project Fair on October 24, 2018 at Second Line Stages. These distinguished young professionals will work together to support YLC’s mission of developing young professional leadership through community projects.
YLC’s 2019 Executive Committee will be led by incoming president Aimee McCarron of Prudential Advisors. “I am excited to have the opportunity to continue YLC’s tradition of service in the New Orleans community,” said McCarron. “YLC is incredibly fortunate to have such a talented and dynamic group of young professionals leading the organization in 2019. I can’t wait to get to work!”
Jack Wiles, CPA of LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors will serve as Past President and Chair of the Nominations Committee, and Kevin Ferguson of The New Orleans Saints and Pelicans will serve as President-Elect. Danielle Boveland of the Louisiana State Bar Association will once again serve as the VP of Projects and Projects Committee Chair. Danielle Martin, of St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation will serve as VP of Communications, and Stephen Sewell of Petro-Marine Underwriters will serve as VP of Development.
YLC welcomes six new Board Members in 2019, all of whom have previously contributed many hours leading YLC projects or as volunteering for the organization. Of the six new General Board Members, two have served as former or current Project Leaders. All new Board Members have been active committee members for two or more years and have met YLC’s service hour requirements.
New to YLC’s Executive Committee include Jeremy McMullin of Ernst & Young, who will serve as VP of Finance; Andrew Koehler of Intralox, who will serve as VP of Membership; and Graham Williams of Adams & Reese, LLP, who will serve as Secretary/General Counsel and Personnel Committee Chair.
New General Board Members include Wayne Encalarde of New Orleans Business Alliance, Patrick Hernandez of Roulaison Distilling Co., and Olivia Mertensmeyer of Tulane University.
Returning as General Board Members in 2019 are YLC’s 2017-2018 VP of Communications, Margaux Krane of New Orleans Museum of Art; 2018 VP of Membership, Brittany Whitsell of Hancock Whitney; 2017-2018 VP of Finance, Amanda Menniti of Entergy; 2017-2018 Secretary/General Counsel and Personnel Committee Chair, Joseph T. Wilson of Liskow & Lewis; James Baehr, Esq. of US Attorney’s Office, Eastern District; Bryanna C. Frazier of Chaffe McCall, LLP; Caroline Hayes of AOS Interior Environments; Jennifer J. Guenard, CPA of Advantage Capital Partners; Sean Landry of Story Block Media; Caleb Roberts of Tulane University; C. Garlan White, CFP of Bellingrath Wealth Management; Samantha C. Hawkins, MHA of Ochsner Health System; and Yelena McCloskey of IBERIABANK.
