Role Model Awards

Regretfully, YLC will not be holding the Role Model Awards Gala event on Saturday, Sept. 25th. After careful consideration, we have decided that we should not hold such an event at this time. This was a difficult decision for the Gala committee and YLC leadership to make, but we have concluded that it is the most responsible decision. We were unable to hold the Role Model Awards Gala in 2020 and were looking forward to bringing the event back this year. We are still committed to honoring the 2021 Role Model class and will find a safe and meaningful way to do so. Individual ticket holders will receive a refund.

Celebrate Leadership

Annually since 1986, Young Leadership Council has selected a class of outstanding New Orleanians who serve as Role Models by actively contributing to the betterment of the Greater New Orleans region. These individuals are an inspiration to YLC’s young professional members and to the community at large.

The Role Model Awards Gala supports YLC’s leadership development through community projects and civic engagement. Comprised of early- to mid-career adults (ages 21-42) interested in developing their leadership skills while bettering the community, YLC is committed to building a more equitable, inclusive New Orleans. YLC achieves its mission through leadership training, hands-on leadership experience, and the amplification of community leaders.
