Skill Level Bracket
Skill ChartTo make sure everyone has a great experience, each team will let us know which of the following three categories best describes their pickleball skill level.
Once we know where everyone feels they fit, we’ll organize the tournament into two groups (Teal and Purple) trying to keep folks separated by skill level as best as possible.
DUPR ratings are not required, they are just listed below if it’s helpful:
- Beginner: New to pickleball or still learning the basics. (DUPR <3.0)
- Intermediate: Have played recreationally and are comfortable with the game, but not yet advanced.(DUPR 3.0-3.49)
- Advanced: Experienced players who are confident in their skills and enjoy a higher level of competition. (DUPR 3.5+)
If a team has a preference for playing in the Teal or Purple Group, we will take that strongly into consideration in addition to each player’s rating.
